Shayla Lee was born in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Stanton College Preparatory School. She earned a bachelor's degree from Clark Atlanta University in 2008 and a law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2015. Her career experience includes working as an attorney. She has been affiliated with the Florida Bar, the Jacksonville Bar, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the D. W. Perkins Bar Association.
